How do you "hide" certain columns in the Student's View of the Gradebook in WebCT?
If you go to the Teach Tab and then go to the Gradebook, in the upper right corner of the gradebook there is a button that says Grade Book Options. Click on that button then choose Column Settings. Go to the column that you want to hide from the students - go down to the row that says "Released to Student". Change that "yes" to "no" then the students will no longer see that column.
How do I get Respondus and/or StudyMate on my computer?
Log onto WebCT. Go into Distance Learning Faculty. Click on Software. Click on Respondus and StudyMate. The password is also there so that the full version will work on your machine.
How can I see exactly what a student has submitted?
Under the Instructor tools in the Teach tab, click on Tracking. You will need to choose Student Tracking and change the date range for the report then click the Run Report button. Once the report comes up, click on the student's name. This will give you a list of all of that student's sessions. Scroll to the right to the "Assignments" column. At the bottom of the "Assignments" column, click on the total number of assignments they have submitted. A list of WHAT was submitted and WHEN it was submitted comes up.
To view question statistics (item analysis):
On the Teach tab click Assessment Manager. Click on the action link on the desired assessment and click View Reports. Select the Overall Statistics option and click Run Report. This pulls up a report that itemizes each student, but you can view it by question also - right above the column titles there are two Show: options - click View by Question to get the statistics for each question.
To copy a Quiz or Test from one class to another:
Go to the original course (where the test is now located). Go to "Assessments" under the "Build" tab. Place a check-mark in the box next to the title then click the "Export" button. A new window will open up - you will need to click "My Files" then put in a name in the box where it says "Save As" then click "OK." Now go to the new course. Go to "Manage Course" under the "Build" tab. Click on "Import." A new window will open up - you will need to click "My Files" then find the file you saved a minute ago then click "OK."
Add your question here.
